Hello Lovelies,
If you’ve noticed I’ve been a little quieter lately, you’re not wrong. And honestly, I don’t know if anyone else is feeling it too, but this year is absolutely racing by. Juggling multiple jobs each week, keeping up with all the moving parts, and—somehow—already celebrating Easter (how?!) has definitely been weighing on me.
But that’s exactly why I wanted to sit down and write about something really close to my heart: the art of connection.
Now, I always like to start by saying—every girl in this industry works in her own beautiful, unique way, shaping her style around her skills, strengths, and boundaries. No two of us are the same. And while each of us offers something different, at the heart of it all, our job depends on our ability to create connection.
Real, meaningful connection—the kind that lets our clients relax, feel understood, and step into a space where they can just be.
Some of the men who read my blogs might not love hearing this truth, but it’s important to say: Men come to us for connection.
Sure, that connection looks different for everyone—sometimes it's physical, sometimes it's emotional, sometimes it's just having someone to listen—but at its core, it’s connection they’re seeking. And often, it’s not about sex at all. It's about conversation, about being seen and heard in a world that so often feels loud and isolating.
Which brings me to the girls—because if you know me, you know I love a bit of gossip and a good chat about our dream bookings and favourite moments.
Now, don’t get me wrong—most girls can slip into all of these roles depending on the client and the day. But deep down, each of us has a style that feels like home (and yes, I’m a bit of a talker, so you can probably guess where I fall!).
The real inspiration for this blog though, came from a recent experience that pulled me back into remembering why I love what I do.
Some of you might know—and some might not—but over the years I’ve built a few special connections with clients who I now travel around Australia for, depending on where life and work takes them.
This particular booking was with a client who booked me for 24 hours. Someone I get along with incredibly well—so it was an easy yes for me.
For him, the most important part wasn’t the activities (though those were wonderful too). It was the feeling of really knowing me. Of feeling connected.
We spent the day watching one of my favourite sports as the championship played out, went to his work event where I got a glimpse into his world, and ended the evening over a long, lingering dinner talking about religion, belief systems, and the little things that make us who we are.
Later, in the soft glow of our hotel bathroom, we sat in a warm bath together—not rushing, just being—talking about what we liked about each other, what made us feel alive, and when the night eventually unfolded into all the exhilarating fun you might imagine, it didn’t feel like a transaction. It felt like connection.
Laying in bed later, reflecting on the day, I found myself overwhelmed by a quiet realisation.
Life can be so lonely.
He was going through a hard season, likely feeling isolated, carrying burdens he didn't want to voice. In our time together, he didn’t have to explain himself. He didn’t have to unpack his entire life story. He didn’t owe me anything. There were no expectations, no demands—just presence.
This, truly, is the art of our work. Creating a safe, beautiful escape. A space where someone feels seen, heard, and held—without pressure, without judgement.
Of course, there’s a cost to us, too. Connection like that takes energy. It can leave us feeling wide open and raw if we don’t take care of ourselves afterwards. Self-care after these kinds of bookings isn’t optional—it’s essential.
But when I look back on moments like these, I don’t feel depleted.
I feel honoured.
I feel grateful.
I feel alive.
To step into someone’s world, even briefly—to offer that rare, fleeting sense of belonging—is a gift.
Until next time, lovelies.
Stay connected. Stay kind.
