Exercise to improve your sexual performance by Langtrees.com

We all know some of the health benefits of exercise are stronger heart, steady blood sugar levels and lower risk for practically every disease in the book.

But there’s an even better reason! All exercises can improve your sex life. If you exercise you will want a sex life, when you don't exercise your body gets sluggish and you lose the arousal. According to exercise physiologist and personal trainer Pete McCall, working out just 3 times a week can help “sexual technique, flexibility, and endurance.” Vigorous exercise of walking and burning an extra 200 calories per day has been found to help middle aged men when impotence issues.

Check out this 70 year old bangin' body - if only mine could look like that. Testament to exercise and diet!

Try these exercises and reap the benefits in the bedroom.

Lifting weights

Overall, strength training can help your body produce more testosterone. Exercises that target the upper body and the core muscles also help you last longer in bed — these are the muscles used during sex and can give you the energy for Round Two (or three). Think of that while during your crunches and planks!

Kegels

Kegels basically mean squeezing the pubococcygeus (PC) muscles — basically, the same muscles you use when you try to hold your pee. These can help you delay ejaculation, even if you’re already at the point of orgasm. If you have no idea what a PC muscle is or how to strengthen it, stop and try to hold your pee during your next trip to the john. Got the idea? Now, you can do your Kegels anywhere. Squeeze, hold for ten seconds, relax, squeeze… Well, at least you have something productive to do during your next long train ride.

Brisk walking

A Harvard study found that aerobic activity that burns at least 200 calories per session can help lower your risk for erectile dysfunction (ED). This can mean brisk walking, running, tennis — anything that keeps your blood pumping and improves circulation and blood flow. Plus, exercise can help you release endorphins, which can put relax you and put you in a much better mood for sex than a glass of wine. (FYI: alcohol actually affects your ability to have an erection.)

Swimming

Another Harvard study found that swimmers in their 60s enjoyed a much better sex life than their peers. Could be the endurance training they got from all the laps.

Swimming also increases a persons libido by helping to reduce stress.

Stress has often been linked to problems with low libido in middle aged men.

“We need to get the men to read this. How to help keep your pencil standing or something like this as a heading. So the men realise it's not just about staying power or performance.. So the guys that have impotence problems read it and don't skip over it, thinking it's just about performance and staying power. Men think different to us, they may skip reading this as they might think I don't even have performance so exercise won't help me. I didn't realise, that exercise could play such a big part in sex as even your libido. In the comments Charlee added about the breathing, great advice also. Good topic everyone needs to read this.”

“Another good technique is to learn to breath properly I find when having sex people don’t know how to breath properly I know it probably sounds funny but they run out of breath and can’t keep going so I get them to lay down take some deep breaths in through the nose making sure the tummy is raising at the same time and we are set ready to go again . Just leaving this this technic can make sex last a lot longer . ”
